The Team
Calber is a privately owned, family managed company run by Les Cannings and Alan Doman. The two Directors take a very personal interest in every contract, both by direct communication with the client and through the reporting procedures incorporated as part of company policy.
Calber's highly trained staff cover all aspects of Facilities Management, from Cleaning to Property Services, Waste Management to Landscape and Maintenance and more.
The support, encouragement and the continued development of Calber owes much to our clients who continue to be the strength of Calber.
Health & Safety
At Calber we work with our clients to promote and ensure a safe working culture is maintained by providing suitable systems, equipment and training in order to maintain the safety of our employees, clients and the public.
Calber retains the services of fully qualified Health and Safety consultants to ensure that we comply with current and forthcoming legislation. All Calber clients, employees and sub-contractors are encouraged to contribute constructive suggestions to assist with safe working practices.
Clients are issued with full risk assessments and method statements for all work service areas. COSHH data sheets are supplied for all products and employees are provided with a company Health and Safety manual which is updated to incorporate our clients' individual procedures and site requirements.
Staff Training and Quality Control
A full training and induction programme is carried out for all staff to encourage correct working practices, use of equipment, chemicals and materials that they are expected to use as part of their duties. Individual training records are fully maintained and are available if required. We encourage our clients to be fully involved and their recommendations are often incorporated into Calber's training and quality procedures.
